El Refugio is a very unusual and special Villa in Sun Beach,  just ten to fifteen minutes west of Marbella on the beachside of Cancelada next to the Villa Padierna Beach club.

The accommodation comprises two separate buildings surrounding a pretty courtyard which has seating and a table for winter sunshine.     The fully equipped kitchen has washing machine, microwave, oven, hob, extractor and large fridge freezer with opening window overlooking the courtyard.    The charming living room has  a sofa and two armchairs and a dining table and chairs.  

 

The living room  opens out onto a very large covered terrace with  comfortable seating and a beautiful dinning area.  Transparent blinds (as used in many restaurants) can be lowered to protect the terrace when necessary.     The terrace overlooks the lovely sunny garden and pool with small views to the sea!
 
Across the court yard is a seperate annexe (Casita)  which has twin beds and an ensuite with walk in shower, toilet and vanity.  There is a small kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, kettle and toaster  which allows guests staying there to be self contained overnight.     There is easy access to the garden, pool and terrace.

 
The villa is in a very quiet area and  it is easy to park right outside the gate.  There is an excellent beach just a few minutes walk away with access to restaurants and long walks along the sandy beach.     There is also a walkway alongside the beach for those who don't want to walk on the sand!

The Villa Padierna Beach club is very close by which is open all year.

Perhaps the most unusual feature of this unique villa is its large heated pool which is enhanced by a  telescopic cover. Not only does this allow year round swimming but it maintains the temperature and means the pool is always clean and fresh.      The pool will be kept warm all year round, even in summer so guests don't have to experience the impact of cool water even on hot days.

Prices quoted are for two guests in the main villa.    There is a small charge for guests using the Casita.
